It’s a beautiful day to VOLUNTEER!
In order to VOLUNTEER, you will need to complete the Volunteer Application with McKinney ISD. Luckily, the system saves your information from last year, so you just have to verify.
Below you will find a list of upcoming events, copy duty schedule, donating opportunities and so much more. Looking for a place to start? Check out our information below detailing being on our school campus, duties for Room Reps, and general volunteer opportunities.
Have questions? Want to get the Volunteer Newsletter so opportunities come straight to your inbox?

• Classroom Help – whatever the teacher may need help with.
• Copies!
Kindergarten – 2nd grades make copies on Thursdays.
3rd – 5th grades make copies on Fridays.
Sign-ups occur throughout the year, you do not have to be available every single week. When you sign up, make sure to comment what grade level(s) you will make copies for.
• Spirit Shack
Occurs roughly every six weeks on Fridays.
Students “shop” at the Spirit Shack during their recess.
Volunteers help with set-up, help students “shop” and pay for their items, and help with tear down. Come for all or part of the experience.
• PTO Events – information for specific events will be sent out either through your homeroom teacher, the PTO, and/or the school.

-
Short answer, yes! We recognize that we are all parents and guardians first, and that means we might have younger children still at home that need to tag along to our daily activities. You know your child best, and if they can handle letting you do your volunteer duties while they sit off to the side or entertain themselves quietly, then bring them along. If that is not a good fit, let’s look at volunteer duties you can do from home or in a more relaxed setting. Throughout the year opportunities arise for things like cutting paper, folding, banner/sign making, creating balloon arches, etc. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to see what opportunities fit you best.
One opportunity that is for adults only is chaperoning a field trip for your student’s class.
