Spirit Shack
On different set days throughout the school year, volunteers run our Spirit Shack, a beloved buying experience for the students.
In the main school hallway, we set up tables with small items for sale such as school supplies or trinkets, ranging in price from $.25 to $2.00. An order form with the Spirit Shack goodies and prices goes out to each student a few days before the event. On the day, each grade level has the opportunity to stop by and and shop with our volunteers.
Volunteers are able to pick from different shift times throughout the school day, allowing them to help their student’s grade level or fill a specific time that works for them. It only takes a few minutes to personal shop with each student, helping them pick out the items from their order forms and encouraging their math skills as they pay.
